{Hello Route. Nanao's sitting at a picnic table in New Bark Town, hands folded neatly on the table. One hand's knuckles are wrapped in a handkerchief, but she stares levelly at the camera, eyes utterly serious.}
Hello. I would be grateful if someone out there was able to provide an answer to my questions. Don't worry, I only have two. {She looks away for a moment, swallowing.}
How were we brought here, and does anyone know why? I think I understand where we are, even if the premise is absurd, but it is the how and why that yet eludes me.
{A Pidgey chirps somewhere off camera, and Nanao's fingers clench and uncurl.}
A precis on what happened might be nice as well, considering that this town looks like it's been ravaged by a storm.
{That said, she reaches out and clicks off the feed. She'll be wandering around New Bark for a while at least, so feel free to approach her if you see her!}

[...and she doesn't remember.]
[He doesn't respond until he thinks he can control his expression.]
You just missed the worst storm I've ever seen.
["And it's a good thing you did with your luck, huh?" The phrase runs pops into his head, unbidden, and the casual smirk he had on wavers more than a little. He continues on, voice hurried and hoping it will be a distraction:]
But if anybody knows why we're all here, they haven't shared it yet.
[video]
Well, I'm glad to have avoided it. As exciting as storms are, I don't exactly have any of the supplies necessary to weather such an event. {puns}
I... see. May I ask - how long have you been here? {She doesn't want to be here any longer than she has to be; she needs to get home. There's a war she needs to be a part of.}
[video]
It's going to be four years, in a few months. But not a lot of people stay here that long.
[Like her.]

How lovely.]
The 'how' is unknown, the 'why' is possibly 'to raise local creatures and sustain the tourism industry', and that is a very apt description of New Bark Town at the moment. ...Is your hand injured?
[video]
The local creatures... those are 'pokemon', aren't they? Are there any, well, normal creatures?
{At the mention of her hand, she blushes faintly and looks away.} It's just a graze. Nothing too serious.
{This is what happens when you punch trees, Nanao.}

You're--!
[Lancer was momentarily caught off guard--but no, if she was asking things like that...]
[She couldn't be the same one.]
...you're kind of stuck, is what I meant to say.
[video] LANSAAAAAA
{also why do you have blue hair, what the heck.}
Well, it's good to know that I'm not alone in being stuck here. {There's a pause, then she raises an eyebrow.}
If you don't mind, what were you going to say before you corrected yourself? I'm... a little curious.
{She's a sharp one, Nanao is.}

[But it... doesn't sound like she remembers this place. Which means it'd be pointless to ask if it's her, or pull the whole DO YOU REMEMBER ANYTHING? thing.]
No one'll probably be able to give a satisfactory answer to either of those questions, I'm afraid.
The other one, though, that was a hurricane.
Yeah.
[Audio]
A hurricane? That must have been, well... Exciting seems like the wrong word to use.

and who mistook him for a woman the first time they spoke, though as it's obvious she has no memory of this place, well, he may as well treat her as just another newcomer*We've yet to learn anything about how we've been brought here, let alone why. And that would be because there was, in fact, quite a large storm just recently.

You're quite right--it was a terrible storm! I'm just glad it didn't bring a flood with it this time.

Bonsoir. No one yet knows how or why we of other worlds come here. It's a question I've been asking for more than three years now. It wasn't quite a question, but we have had a bit more than a regular storm in the past few days. You're lucky to have missed it.
[Flying sharks might have been a shock.]
I'd be happy to answer any of your questions, mademoiselle, if you have more.
[Video]
Mm, so I've been told. {She thinks for a moment.} I do have one question - there wouldn't happen to be some kind of bus to the next town, would there?

Please don't think about the how or why too much, okay? It's like an eternal mystery at the moment, and all kinds of people wake up here from all kind of circumstances, so at least there's no common ... pattern to it!
[video]
I'd be far more reassured if there was some kind of discernable pattern to it, but I at least made it from home to here in one piece.

Some of the common theories involves the legendary Pokemon's whims, but it's hard to verify that for ourselves. As for your other question, basically a hurricane happened. You're lucky you came after it passed.

...legendary Pokemon? What are those?

ACTION
despite only being vaguely familiar with pokemon ( he'd probably only recognize pikachu ), it wasn't so bad, and neither was it too hard to follow once you knew how to walk a straight line. there are quite a few questions lingering in his head ( for example: he's never heard of a limbo like this, or an after life— ), but those would probably come to him in time.
he wasn't in any hurry, after all.
the skies are a bit cloudy and dark, though— with drizzles every so often. nagi is checking out new bark town himself at this time, his bulbasaur accompanying and sometimes wandering a bit too far from him in favor of curiosity.
like in this case, where she's the first to go over to nanao and sniff at her feet, looking up and sitting as she observes and greets while nagi is asking a citizen for small pecks of information. once he notices, nagi comes soon after, giving a sheepish smile, speaking with a mechanical-like voice. ]
There you are—
[ the smile is more directed to nanao now, as aster, his companion, continues where it is ( there's no problem in saying hello! is what she thinks. nagi would agree, but going off like that . . . ! he wondered if that's what it felt like to lose your kid at the park ). ]
I hope she didn't bother you, Miss.
ACTION
You're a curious little one, aren't you? {As Nagi wanders over, she looks up, and returns his smile.}
No harm done, none at all. A sense of curiosity is a healthy thing to have, provided the little one's guardian is close by.
