{Hello Route. Nanao's sitting at a picnic table in New Bark Town, hands folded neatly on the table. One hand's knuckles are wrapped in a handkerchief, but she stares levelly at the camera, eyes utterly serious.}

Hello. I would be grateful if someone out there was able to provide an answer to my questions. Don't worry, I only have two. {She looks away for a moment, swallowing.}

How were we brought here, and does anyone know why? I think I understand where we are, even if the premise is absurd, but it is the how and why that yet eludes me.

{A Pidgey chirps somewhere off camera, and Nanao's fingers clench and uncurl.}

A precis on what happened might be nice as well, considering that this town looks like it's been ravaged by a storm.

{That said, she reaches out and clicks off the feed. She'll be wandering around New Bark for a while at least, so feel free to approach her if you see her!}

Oh, it is! I've met several wonderful friends over the years! It's a little sad that they can disappear so quickly, but that's all the more reason to make the best of it!

At this point in time? I'm not entirely sure.

I'm still trying to adjust to, well, everything.

It'll come easier than you think it will. But...

Keep away from ledges. Only go down them. No matter how low they look, you cannot climb up them.

...are they cursed? This is the second time I've been warned about them.

That must be it. I've been here for years and no one I've met has been able to discover why they behave like that.

It sounds - to me, at least - for all intents and purposes like a curse.

Admittedly, curses are not my speciality.

Nor mine. At least not getting rid of them. This world is mysterious and some parts of it, I think, are just going to stay that way.

Also don't eat any berries you find in the wild. Buy granola bars. They come in large boxes.

Are they poisonous? {Adding granola bars to her mental list of foods to buy when she ends up in Cherrygrove...}

Absolutely--to humans anyway. They're very good for our Pokemon.

Hmm. That's a bit of a shame, given that we've not got a lot of food to last us until Cherrygrove.

You know what they say! Roughing it builds character!
